Sunrise to High Rise, A Wallbook of Architecture Through the Ages

Great to receive an advance copy of my new book this morning! Sunrise to High Rise is a fold out concertina displaying a visual timeline of architecture through the ages. Further details can be found on my website here.

Postcards of Hackney by Berger Primary School

Last month, I worked with the wonderful pupils at Berger Primary School to create postcards displaying what Hackney meant to them, and what they would like to encourage people visiting the borough to see. There were some amazing outcomes from the lido and parks to the chicken shops and Tescos. Pupils were encouraged to explore different materials using just the colour blue, as a tribute to the chemist Raphael Meldola, who invented blue dye in Hackney in the 1800’s.

The postcards were then displayed as part of an installation for the Hackney Wicked Festival 2014.

Hackney Summer Postcard

Great to receive these postcards in the post today! I created the Hackney Wick one (top image) to help promote Hackney Wick to people visiting the London Borough of Hackney this summer. Each postcard was created by a different artist, focused on different areas of Hackney. They were commissioned by Hackney Council for Destination Hackney. Further details can be found here »

Shakespeare’s London - BookBench

Lovely to see people interacting with my BookBench, which is currently outside The Globe Theatre on the Southbank, London. It will be there until 15 September, before then being auctioned to raise money for the National Literacy Trust. Find out more at http://www.booksabouttown.org.uk/

Shakespeare’s London - BookBench

Really honoured to have been asked to recreate Shakespeare’s London on one of the Books About Town BookBenches. Such a great cause, designed to raise money and awareness for the National Literacy Trust. Here are some work in progress shots of my bench…
